The 2012 edi­tion of the Sec­ondary Schools' Foot­ball League has come to an end and the IN­TER­COL tour­na­ment is ex­pect­ed to start on Fri­day 9th of Oc­to­ber. This week, The Libero wish­es to turn its at­ten­tion to our na­tion­al Un­der-20 boys who have trav­elled to the is­land of Ja­maica to com­pete in the fi­nal round of qual­i­fy­ing for the CON­CA­CAF U20 cham­pi­onship.

The Jo­mal Williams led out­fit played three match­es whilst there, and the re­sults will be pub­lished in the next is­sue of the mag­a­zine. On Mon­day 5th No­vem­ber they faced Puer­to Ri­co. On Wednes­day 7th and 8th they faced Haiti for a game.

This team has been train­ing for a while and their last bit of prepa­ra­tion came in the form of a prac­tice match against Point Fortin FC where our young war­riors were de­feat­ed by a 2-1 mar­gin.

Many of the play­ers on this team have been shin­ing in the Sec­ondary Schools' Foot­ball League this year. Their per­for­mances have helped their team come up on top of the oth­ers be­cause they were able to pro­vide that edge over the oth­ers with their ex­pert skills and un­der­go­ing stren­u­ous train­ing ses­sions.

Play­ers like Shack­iel Hen­ry, Jo­mal Williams, Que­si We­st­on, Adan Noel, Akeem Gar­cia and Keane Mc Ivor, to name a few, are all set to shine for the red, black and white. All these play­ers are cur­rent­ly at­tached to a Sec­ondary School team and have been very in­stru­men­tal in vic­to­ries.

The gieMAGAZINE and The Libero wish to con­grat­u­late the play­ers on the team for be­ing cho­sen as the best in their age group and the creme of the crop in the coun­try.
