Arrive Alive wishes to commend ASP Neville Sankar, Cpl Simon, WPC Mc Eachnie and the other officers of the Tunapuna Police Station for thetrafficenforcementexercise they conducted which resulted in 11 drivers being brought before the courts for driving under the influence of alcohol on the Spiritual Baptist holiday coming from the Caura river.
This is an exemplar case of proactive road policing which keeps our citizens safe from those who continue to engage in actions which put the rest of the innocent road users at risk. We do not know how many lives you may have saved with this exercise, but you have sent a clear message of zero tolerance to drinking and driving on our nations roads. Imagine what a co-ordinated island-wide dragnet could result in if these results were from just Caura alone. Keep up the excellent work, our lives may depend upon it.
