The smooth melodies of reg­gae, the sweet sounds of so­ca, and pul­sat­ing rhythms of chut­ney will con­verge in the Queen's Park Sa­van­nah on Sun­day. The mas­sive event la­belled Su­per-Star Sun­day, will fol­low on the heels of the 30th In­ter­na­tion­al Reg­gae and World Mu­sic Awards (IRAW­MA), and will fea­ture thrilling per­for­mances from sev­er­al of the IRAW­MA nom­i­nees and even­tu­al win­ners. In his first ma­jor, full-length, lo­cal per­for­mance since Car­ni­val 2011, Machel Mon­tano will once again ig­nite the sa­van­nah with his HD band.

Co-head­lin­ing this night be­fore the hol­i­day event will be the award win­ning Shag­gy with his dy­nam­ic mu­si­cal en­tourage, and pop­u­lar reg­gae mu­sic bal­ladeer Jah Cure, who is well loved for his lovers rock hits such as Long­ing For and Un­con­di­tion­al Love. Adding to this fu­sion of the gen­res will be the pres­ence of Roy Cape and his All-Stars, Denise Bel­fon and Gen­er­al Grant, who will share the Su­per-Star Sun­day stage with the Queen Ifrica, in­spi­ra­tional singer Win­some Ben­jamin, Ghana­ian artiste and tourism am­bas­sador Rocky Dawu­ni, and up and com­ing hit mak­er Soul Rebel.

This show of shows will al­so present a spe­cial In­di­an Ar­rival Day gift to the na­tion in the form of a unique show­case by the Na­tion­al Chut­ney Foun­da­tion. This show­case will fea­ture per­for­mances from chut­ney stars and bands in­clud­ing the Me­lo Bugz band and Heer­alal Ram­par­tap. The event is host­ed by Gramps Mor­gan of Mor­gan Her­itage.
