Out­siders crick­et club will come up against Petrotrin in the fi­nal of the lu­cra­tive bmo­bile Na­tion­wide Com­mu­ni­ty crick­et league on Sun­day at Guaracara Park in Pointe-a-Pierre. Out­siders got to the fi­nals with an easy six-wick­et vic­to­ry over D&D Au­to World on In­di­an Ar­rival Day at Kennedy Park in Di­a­mond, South Trinidad. Bat­ting first, D&D Au­to-boast­ing many for­mer na­tion­al play­ers-made 97 for four off 20 overs. For­mer na­tion­al all rounder Richard Sieuchan top-scored with 27, while De­onar­ine Deyal made 15. Out­siders then got to vic­to­ry at 98 for four off 16 overs with Mukesh Ban­sraj get­ting 29 and Al­vara­do Bryce 20.

In the oth­er semi­fi­nals, Petrotrin got a 56-run win over Ra­goo­nanan Road. Petrotrin took first strike and made 149/6 off 20 overs with Hol­lis­ter Pa­jotte get­ting 37 and Nicholas Ram­phal 38. Ra­goo­nanan Road found this to be a tall or­der and fell for 93 off 19.4 overs. On Sun­day, Ra­goo­nanan Road will meet D&D Au­to World in the third place play-off, while Petrotrin and Out­siders will meet for the first prize of $50,000. Chair­man of the Na­tion­wide Com­mu­ni­ty League, Nazrudeen Mo­hammed said he was very hap­py with the tour­na­ment al­though in its in­au­gur­al year. "We were able to touch dif­fer­ent com­mu­ni­ties through­out Trinidad and To­ba­go and we will be look­ing to ex­pand as we move for­ward," he said.
