Fa­ti­ma Col­lege dom­i­nat­ed the Dig­i­cel Schools Rug­by Foot­ball Union Awards which were held on Wednes­day, tak­ing both the Un­der-17 and Un­der-14 ti­tles. The func­tion, held at Fa­ti­ma Col­lege Hall, saw Chris­t­ian Chin, cap­tain of the vic­to­ri­ous Fa­ti­ma Un­der-17 team, col­lect­ing his team's award from Na­tal­ie Black, Dig­i­cel's Out­door and Spe­cial Events co­or­di­na­tor. Black al­so pre­sent­ed Ka­reem James, cap­tain of the Fa­ti­ma Un­der-14 team, with his win­ning tro­phy.

The gath­er­ing was ad­dressed by Gre­go­ry Rousseau, pres­i­dent of the Schools Rug­by Foot­ball Union and Leslie Fi­garo, Pres­i­dent of the Rug­by Foot­ball Union, both of whom en­cour­aged the play­ers to main­tain their com­mit­ment to the sport, re­mind­ing them that, as the fu­ture se­nior play­ers, it would be their job to el­e­vate the game to a high­er stan­dard. Michael Phillips, renowned na­tion­al cy­clist ad­vised the ath­letes to fol­low their dreams and put in the ef­fort nec­es­sary to suc­ceed. The cer­e­mo­ny end­ed with a mo­ment of si­lence in ho­n­our of the pass­ing of Allyson Hen­nessy, an avid sup­port­er of Rug­by.
