Pres­i­dent George Maxwell Richards has, over the past few days, made a se­ries of act­ing ap­point­ments for gov­ern­ment min­is­ters who will be out of the coun­try. With ef­fect from yes­ter­day, Pub­lic Util­i­ties Min­is­ter Em­manuel George was ap­point­ed to act as Min­is­ter of Food Pro­duc­tion, Land and Ma­rine Af­fairs, dur­ing the ab­sence of Vas­ant Bharath. Arts and Mul­ti­cul­tur­al­ism Min­is­ter Win­ston Pe­ters is act­ing as Min­is­ter of Com­mu­ni­ty De­vel­op­ment with ef­fect from to­mor­row while Nizam Baksh is out of the coun­try. From to­day, Hous­ing Min­is­ter Dr Roodal Mooni­lal will act as Min­is­ter of En­er­gy and En­er­gy Af­fairs dur­ing the ab­sence of Car­olyn Seep­er­sad- Bachan. From Mon­day, Food Pro­duc­tion Min­is­ter Vas­ant Bharath will act in the of­fice of Stephen Cadiz, Min­is­ter of Trade and In­dus­try.
