T&T will open their account in the Caribbean Basketball Championship (CBC) when they take on Cuba at 5 pm at the Sir Kendall Isaacs Gymnasium, New Province, Bahamas.The match will be the first of five in a round robin format scheduled to take place over the course of five consecutive days ending on Sunday.The T&T team is led by Puerto Rican coach Ivan Flores and his assistant is T&T's coach/ player Pietra Gay.
The nine other players which travelled includes: Chenell Harris, Rhea Codio, Ayanna Phillip, Jonee Billy, Miriam Seales, Jowan Ortega, Melissa Guerero, Rachael Thompson-King and Annola Charles, that make up the ten-player team.Former national forward Trevor McLeod is the other assistant coach, the team's trainer is Roland Cambridge and the sport's Technical director-Obadiah Asher is the team's manager.The tournament's opening ceremony will follow at the end of T&T's match. Host team Bahamas will then challenge St Vincent and the Grenadines.In the first match of the tournament beginning at 2 pm today, Dominican Republic will take on the Virgin Islands.
