T&T will open their ac­count in the Caribbean Bas­ket­ball Cham­pi­onship (CBC) when they take on Cu­ba at 5 pm at the Sir Kendall Isaacs Gym­na­si­um, New Province, Ba­hamas.The match will be the first of five in a round robin for­mat sched­uled to take place over the course of five con­sec­u­tive days end­ing on Sun­day.The T&T team is led by Puer­to Ri­can coach Ivan Flo­res and his as­sis­tant is T&T's coach/ play­er Pietra Gay.

The nine oth­er play­ers which trav­elled in­cludes: Ch­enell Har­ris, Rhea Co­dio, Ayan­na Phillip, Jonee Bil­ly, Miri­am Seales, Jowan Or­te­ga, Melis­sa Guerero, Rachael Thomp­son-King and An­no­la Charles, that make up the ten-play­er team.For­mer na­tion­al for­ward Trevor McLeod is the oth­er as­sis­tant coach, the team's train­er is Roland Cam­bridge and the sport's Tech­ni­cal di­rec­tor-Oba­di­ah Ash­er is the team's man­ag­er.The tour­na­ment's open­ing cer­e­mo­ny will fol­low at the end of T&T's match. Host team Ba­hamas will then chal­lenge St Vin­cent and the Grenadines.In the first match of the tour­na­ment be­gin­ning at 2 pm to­day, Do­mini­can Re­pub­lic will take on the Vir­gin Is­lands.
