The Hyatt Regency Trinidad Hotel will be the venue for two upcoming conferences. The first will be the Project Management Institute Southern Caribbean Chapter's sixth biennial international conference on September 20 and 21. The theme is, Bridging the Gap: Strategic Thought Transformed Through Project Management. Transport Minister Devant Maharaj is to deliver the feature address. Eugene Bounds, former chairman of the PMI board in 2010, will be the event's keynote speaker.
There will be an executive panel comprising Gopal Kapur, president of the Centre for Project Management, Jearlean John, chairman of the Urban Development Corporation of T&T (Udecott), Khalid Hassanali, vice-president, planning and projects at Petrotrin, and Michael PA Charles, immediate past president of PMI SCC, who will serve as moderator for the discussion on the conference theme.

The second conference, to be hosted by the Arthur Lok Jack Graduate School of Business, is titled, Advancing Women in Business.
The event will be held on October 18.
Two international business coaches will speak.
Dr Carol Kinsey Gorman, president of Kinsey Consulting Services, will speak about leaders' silent language, how body language can help or hurt.
Dr Lois Frankel, author of See Jane Lead, will speak about 99 ways for women to take charge at work.
