Manning also said he "violently opposed" the decision of the Deputy Speaker not to allow Point Fortin MP Paula Gopie-Scoon to move a motion to bring Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar before the Privileges Committee. He said her comments regarding the wire-tapping was far more serious than the matter which he was facing before the committee. Manning also spoke of a move by the Government to suspend him from Parliament for three months. He said he would not be surprised if a warrant was issued in the future to search his home for the grand piano.
