In a bid to make information more accessible to the public, the Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago has upgraded its Web site. Central Bank Governor Ewart Williams said the Web site aims to be user friendly and easier to navigate. "Since the launching of the Web site in 2004 there has been significant improvements in Web site technology and functionality," said Williams, in an audio clip address, at the Web site's launch at the Central Bank, Eric Williams' Financial Building on Wednesday.
"From a user standpoint the content has been re-arranged for easier navigation. For example, people searching for examples on treasury bills and bonds can access all the information under the new menu item 'Government's Securities,'" he said. Data and statistics, said Williams, will also be easier to access.
He also pointed out that they have the additional feature of links of other financial bodies on the Web site.
"We also have access links to other relevant sites such as the Deposit Insurance Corporation, the Office of Financial Services, the Ombudsman along with local and regional regulatory organisations," he said. (RJL)
