"At that time he may have felt it was best time for him and in the interest of West Indies cricket to bow out of the game back then but I welcome his return to the sport and I'm sure most if not all of the cricket world do.
"Now it's not about West Indies or T&T it's about himself and enjoying life. Even at age 41 or 42, he still has the love and desire for the game so I wish him well and I know he will have success in the IPL."
