The clash be­tween, the Dig­i­cel Pro League's W Con­nec­tion and US Ma­jor League Soc­cer's Red Bulls kicks-off at the Man­nie Ramjohn Sta­di­um, Mara­bel­la at 8 pm.

The sec­ond-leg is set for Wednes­day (Au­gust 5) at the Gi­ants Sta­di­um, East Ruther­ford, New Jer­sey. The "Savonet­ta Boys" as W Con­nec­tion are known qual­i­fied for the Cham­pi­ons League af­ter win­ning the CFU by de­feat­ed 2008 win­ner Puer­to Ri­co Is­landers, 2-1 in the fi­nal. How­ev­er, W Con­nec­tion led by strik­ers Jonathan Frias and An­dre Tou­s­saint has not en­joyed a good start to the lo­cal league cam­paign and cur­rent­ly lies in fifth spot with 19 points, with a 5-4-3 record.

Mean­while, the Red Bulls who qual­i­fied for this year's tour­na­ment as beat­en fi­nal­ist in the 2008 MLS Cup are al­so strug­gling in its league and are on a sea­son-high 12 match win­less streak. In their last league match on Sat­ur­day, Colom­bian strik­er Juan Pablo An­gel and the Red Bulls, bot­tom of the East­ern Con­fer­ence with 10 points from 21 match­es, suf­fered a 4-0 blowout by the Col­orado Rapids. The team has one point from 12 road games this sea­son.

Pri­or to tonight's en­counter, W Con­nec­tion and Red Bulls have met once be­fore, a pre-sea­son friend­ly in 2005 which end­ed in a 1-0 win for the US club. Ex­pect­ed to lead the at­tack for the Red Bulls is Colom­bian strik­er, Juan Pablo An­gel The win­ner of the two-game ag­gre­gate goals se­ries will qual­i­fy for Group D in the Group Stage, where they face Pumas UN­AM (Mex­i­co), Co­mu­ni­ca­ciones of Guatemala and the win­ner of the Liberia (Cos­ta Ri­ca) and Re­al Es­pana (Hon­duras) se­ries.
