Hun­dreds came out last Sat­ur­day night for the an­nu­al Yorke Inc So­ca­parang Cruise, aboard the MV Trea­sure Queen. Fea­tur­ing undis­put­ed parang so­ca king Scrunter, the mas­sive crowd danced the night away to sup­port­ing acts, like Grena­di­an so­ca artiste Nni­ka, for­mer By­ron Lee & the Drag­o­naires front­man Os­car B, and DJs CG and DJ Dar­ryl.

It was CG and DJ Dar­ryl who start­ed the ball rolling at ex­act­ly mid­night, pro­vid­ing a wide va­ri­ety of mu­sic to the de­light of the crowd. They ush­ered on Nni­ka, per­form­ing her 2009 so­ca hit sin­gle–Sweet Sug­ar Stick–and the ver­sa­tile Os­car B, who thrilled the crowd with some of his ma­jor hits, in­clud­ing But­ter­fly and Tat­ti Dance. The To­ba­go artiste al­so showed his ver­sa­til­i­ty in ren­der­ing smash hit She's Roy­al.?

But the biggest thrill came from the man of the mo­ment Scrunter, who belt­ed out both big so­ca tunes–like Ju­dith, Oil in de Coil, Jumbie–and parang so­ca hits like Home Made Wine, She Gone Parang, Ani­ta and more, which had the crowd jump­ing, danc­ing and hav­ing great fun till the wee hours of the morn­ing.
