In the second-match at Macoya, Joe Public, chasing a fourth title this season and fourth FA Trophy win after triumphs in 2001, 2004 and 2007, punished its Eastern Football Association clubmates 6-0. Leading the way for the Derek King-coached senior "Eastern Lions" was captain, Kerry Baptiste with a beavertrick to take his tally of goals for the season to 45. Seon Power and an own-goal from Dinelvi Tinto accounted for the other goals.
Former Joe Public skipper, Dale Saunders replaced Baptiste in the 78th minute, and at the end of the game he officially announced his retirement.
