?Social Development Minister Dr Amery Brown last night declined to comment on reports that a proposal to increase senior citizens' grant was before Cabinet.
"I would not discuss any matter before Cabinet," Brown said, in response to reports that Cabinet was discussing increasing the grant from May 2.
Senior citizens' grant is the designation given a couple years ago to the monthly state assistance, previously called old age pension.
