Of the two Po­lice teams that are com­pet­ing for the Pearl Fran­cis Di­vi­sion (PFD) ti­tle in the Port-of-Spain Net­ball League, the A team emerged the more dom­i­nant af­ter crush­ing the B unit on Mon­day evening.

The win­ner record­ed a 57-25 vic­to­ry in the fi­nal of four match­es played at the Jean Pierre Com­plex in Mu­cu­rapo. For­mer na­tion­al play­er Eu­phemia Hug­gins, the goal-shoot­er, was un­mark­able as she raced to 53 goals from 69 at­tempts for the vic­tors in the one-sided af­fair. The B team nev­er tru­ly found its rhythm and trailed through­out the en­counter – 16-9 in the first pe­ri­od , 31-16 at the half and, 50-23 in the third ses­sion.

Bev­er­ly Her­nan­dez was the most pro­duc­tive of the three shoot­ers used by the los­ing squad, con­nect­ing 18 off 24. Ear­li­er, Hori­zon reg­is­tered its own one-sided win not yield­ing a goal against Ari­ma Unit­ed in its 16-0 whip­ping in their Bar­bara Bur­nette "B2" Di­vi­sion. Malvern al­so sealed a vic­to­ry in that di­vi­sion, beat­ing CS Jets, 6-3. The Malvern club al­so had its sec­ond be­gin­ner's team claim­ing vic­to­ry in the Bar­bara Chan­dleur Di­vi­sion. It de­feat­ed CS Jets, 6-3.
