Garth Voisin is definitely unlike any other, a unique man, indeed. His life is a product of determination, focus, faith and hard work. Voisin grew up in Arima in a strong and close-knit family, and embedded within him were priceless valuable lessons instilled by his parents Pamela and Maurice Voisin.
He left Trinidad in his early 20s, bound for the United States, following an indescribable call from within for more, seeking a better life, walking a path that in time will lead him to his true and rightful purpose on this earth which is to help, inspire and motivate others to remove all limits and to step into their true potential.
At 33 years old, Voisin has done above and beyond what some have only dreamt of. Beyond his many struggles living in the US, Voisin was able to twist negative situations into something extremely positive and utilised it to push him into new and higher places in his life. He maintains a strong and very realistic faith in God.
Go after your dreams
Voisin is many things in one. He is a son, brother, father, fitness trainer, inspirational/motivational coach, nutritionist, author and model. He is the first Caribbean male fitness model to appear on the cover of an internationally sold magazine, which is Krave magazine, just to name one of the many publications he has appeared on. He has made appearances on music videos such as I Ain't Hearing you by Angie Stone, and Worst Case Scenario by Joe. He has advised and trained top celebrities such as Chili from TLC, Q from 112, and CNN Anchor Don Lemon.
Voisin's personal message to Trinbagonians out there who believe they are called for something greater is to believe in yourself, and pursue and go after your dreams; there is no limit to what you can accomplish; it may not be easy but life is too short not to go after your passion. As for Voisin, the journey continues. You can visit his Web site at www.gavfitness.com and find him on Facebook.
This week I have chosen to write about an exceptional human being, a man of the soil of T&T, to encourage and motivate you, the reader, to excel and go beyond your present circumstance, press and push after your dreams. It is important that we all know that we can ... Look out for more articles in the coming weeks featuring other Trinbago-born men and women who, like Voisin, have made a strong decision to truly live their dreams and true purpose. I commend you, Garth Voisin. Continue doing what youhave been doing. You are definitely a blessing. Be blessed and truly enjoy the journey!
