We have been hearing so often of public servants, bank workers and other employees of different organisations, treating especially the elderly and the disabled with disrespect, disdain and indifference whenever their services are sought.
I would however like to publicly thank the staff of the Sangre Grande branch of Elections and Boundaries Commission, especially Mrs Mala Baran, who went beyond the call of duty when I went to renew my national identification card this week. Her affability, co-operation and expeditious help were indeed gratifying.
Thank you, dear Mrs Baran, for the quintessence of customer service you rendered me, and I am sure others who have accessed the services of this office have enjoyed the same treatment you extended me.
