Students of the Lower Morvant Government Primary School believe they will soon be evicted from their rented accommodation over outstanding rent to Church.
Some of the 300 students attending the school, joined by their parents, held a protest yesterday along the Lady Young Road, Morvant, hoping to receive assistance from the Ministry of Education.
Members of the Parent Teacher's Association (PTA) said the church was not an ideal location for the students.
After the school was demolished, the students were placed at the nearby Church of the Rock on the Lady Young Road.
"They said in nine months we will have a new school but that was two years ago. Nothing was done," said assistant secretary of the PTA, Precious Aaron.
Aaron said the school was owing the church money for rent.
"We have to pay rent to stay there and we are owing money to the church. I don't know how much but we might get put out anytime," she said.
Aaron said the children would like to see their school rebuilt.
"So the children will be comfortable in their environment and we want a crossing guard for the students," she said.
She said sometimes there was no water at the church and the air-conditioning unit did not work.
"It's children you're dealing with and sometimes things could be broken. There is no place for them to run about comfortably and there is a car park outside. It is not suitable for the children," she said.
An official at the Ministry of Education said they were aware of the circumstances surrounding the school but denied that there was a rent debt to the church.
