Digiburners took full advantage of the final Digicel Summer Burn of the year by turning up in their numbers at the Queen's Park Savannah on Monday. The instructors from the Long Circular Club, as well as Zumba instructors, Kristerbella, Cindy and Leston, led those gathered through the paces of a fun one-hour long zumba and aerobic workout.
Simultaneously, the final of the DigiBurn Team Challenge was underway, supervised by Gerard Alfonso. Team Five Star emerged the winners, besting the obstacle course in a time of less than three minutes. They walked away with a cash prize of $5,000, presented by Digicel's Head of Marketing Lori-Ann Glasgow.
The members of Team Five Star were not the only winners on the day as several persons walked away with Digicel IMAX tickets, Digicel cooler bags and chairs as well as the popular autographed cricket bats from CPL 2015 champions Red Steel. Adrian Rodriguez and Zalika Timothy were also the lucky recipients of a one-month free gym membership at the Long Circular Gym.
Refreshments during the "water breaks" were provided by Gatorade, Dasani and Dannon. Right Guard and Dial representatives were also on hand to distribute samples of their products.
The fitness event will return to the Queen's Park Savannah next year, bringing with it more fun and fitness and extraordinary prizes.
