Campaign manager for the UNC for the September 7 general election Rodney Charles yesterday took his campaign against PNM leader Dr Keith Rowley to Belmont.
The latest move by the UNC in its campaign was to bring an imitation of the television game show Wheel of Fortune. Charles spun the so-called Wheel of Misfortune yesterday and when it stopped, it showed "Rowley gets very angry" and "Rowley will cut healthcare."
Charles said the daily campaign was to show the electors that Rowley had no plans and policies to develop the country and Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar was the better choice to lead this country after the election.
Charles' campaign took the form of a wheel of misfortune, which was placed on Belmont Circular Road, close to a poster with Rowley and PNM candidate for Port-of-Spain South Stuart Young yesterday.
He spun the wheel on at least four occasions and it stopped at the so-called prize which said Rowley will get very angry.
On other occasions it stopped and said Rowley will cut healthcare.
Charles said Rowley was "an angry, arrogant man."
Asked if the campaign was hurting or helping Rowley's campaign, Charles said based on the polling data the party has "it suggests that we are on the right track."
He said: "Increasingly, people are beginning to ask Dr Rowley where are his plans."
Charles said the wheel of misfortune was presented to highlight the lack of proper thought by Rowley into his possible governance of the country after September 7.
