Alivin Daniel was crowned champion in the Petrotrin Sports Club Tiger Tanks Trinidad Unlimited (TTTU) Islandwide Open Snooker Tournament as he defeated Adrian Bajnath by 93-81 in a highly contested final last Sunday at the Petrotrin Sports Club, Point-a-Pierre.
Spectators at the Petrotrin Sports Club was treated to exciting snooker throughout the tournament. Daniel narrowly won the crown in a very even contest which could of gone either way. Denis Latiff, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the TTTU presented the awards. Daniel pocketed $7,000 for first place, with the runner up Adrian Bajnath receiving $5,000.
The two losing semifinalist of Prahalad Ramhit and Micheal Maraj both received $2,500 each with a $1,000 going to Anderson Mohammed who obtained the highest break of the tournament as the original 64-man field in the month long tournament.
