Eight-time Soca monarch winner in St Vincent and the Grenadines, Delroy Hooper, popularly known as Fireman, and his soca counterpart Rondy "Luta" Mc Intosh recently visited Trinidad.
The duo, along with their manager Herric Horne of Island Network Inc, were here on their way back to St Vincent after a two-month North American tour. They left for the tour right after the St Vincent Carnival, which took place on July 7 and 8.
They spent two days going to several radio stations and newspapers promoting their Carnival 2015 hits–Fireman's power hit Unruly and groovy number Rum Meeting and Luta's groovy song Till Morning.
This year, Fireman also copped the Groovy and Road March titles.
Speaking with T&T Guardian, Fireman said his song Unruly is about a dream he had. "It is just the perfect road song. Fitting for all the revelry that Carnival entails."
The two are no strangers to T&T and they are looking forward for next year's Carnival, where they will not only be performing in the top competitions, but will be joining the thousands of revellers on Carnival Monday and Tuesday.
They have already been booked for some of T&T's major Carnival events including Stranded by the Pool and J'ouvert City in Tobago.
The two soca artistes can be booked via Lyndon Le Gall at 482-7207, 752-9911 or islandboysentertainment@yahoo.com.
