It's been tout­ed as the East's new pre­miere Car­ni­val fete, and it is tak­ing place on Car­ni­val Thurs­day at the ex­clu­sive Saly­bia Na­ture Re­sort and Spa over­look­ing the At­lantic Ocean.

Not to be con­fused with an­oth­er Saly­bia event on that day, Strand­ed by the Pool, the brain child of pro­mot­er Lyn­don Legall, was in­tro­duced to bring a new and ex­cit­ing flavour to the Car­ni­val cir­cuit.

The event re­ceived an over­whelm­ing re­sponse from pa­trons last year. The par­ty be­gins at 7 pm and ends around 5 am.

This year's event will fea­ture top artistes Shur­wayne Win­ches­ter, Blaxx and Tony Prescott, and a cast of pop­u­lar DJs, ra­dio per­son­al­i­ties and celebri­ties.

There will be a va­ri­ety of ex­ot­ic food and a pre­mi­um bar, com­pli­men­ta­ry drinks and fin­ger foods through­out the night.

There will be a full com­ple­ment of po­lice of­fi­cers along with ad­di­tion­al pri­vate se­cu­ri­ty on site to en­sure the se­cu­ri­ty of pa­trons and their ve­hi­cles.

At present, a lim­it­ed batch of tick­ets, priced at $200, are still avail­able at Japs Fried Chick­en, San­gre Grande, Va­len­cia and Ari­ma; Ltd Edi­tion, Ari­ma; Sinanan Drugs, San­gre Grande; Cache, Port-of-Spain; Phats In­ter­na­tion­al, Trinci­ty Mall; Jen­ny's Hard­ware, Ma­tu­ri­ta; Au­ther's Bar, Ba­lan­dra; and at the venue, the Saly­bia Na­ture Re­sort and Spa.
