The Ter­rance Thomas trained Gold­en Dix­ieland is my se­lec­tion to win the fea­ture event to­day over 1800 me­tres on the main track at San­ta Rosa Park, Ari­ma.

Gold­en Dix­e­land was very im­pres­sive last time out when win­ning over 1,750 me­tres and should land the first prize cheque in the $80,000 fea­ture.

Wilmer Galviz will have the leg up and I take him to give away weight and a beat­ing to his five ri­vals.

Cham­pi­on train­er John O'Brien has two en­trants in the events, Go For The Gold and the 2012 Mid­sum­mer Clas­sic hero One­to­keep. Both will be dan­ger­ous. The oth­er horse which must be con­sid­ered is Buf­fa­lo Sol­dier from the De­r­ick Mosca barn, while Se­cret Amer­i­can who comes from the Stephen Jardim sta­ble must be re­spect­ed.
