Forward Fabrice Fisher once again rose to the occasion when Valencia landed the Arima Basketball League Knockout title in a convincing 85-72 drubbing of La Horquetta in the final, on Sunday night.
The tournament was played at the Royal Princes Basketball Court, Arima, with Valencia securing a simple win after leading at the end of every period.
La Horquetta outscored Valencia in the second and final quarter, but Valencia's 24-point opening quarter scoreline proved to keep the team at a comfortable position as the match progressed.
Fisher, who played an almost flawless game a night prior in his team's semifinal win over High Voltage with 36 points, shone yet again with a 32-point match high, in the final.
Ivan Williams and Stefan Davis both had credible performances with 19 and 16 points, respectively for the winning team, while their teammate Kenrick Bernard finish on ten points.
For the runners-up, Ronaldo Lett top scored with 14 points, while Dexter Morain and Miguel Williams both netted 13 points each.
The tournament was played in memory of Earl John, a former long-standing basketball administrator from Arima.
