A report released on April 19 by the Integrity Committee of theConfederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football (Concacaf) has been at the centre of the story behind the resignation of former National Security Minister Jack Warner.
Warner, a former FIFA vice president, dismissedas malicious and baseless the finding of the committee, whichprobed the management ofthe regional football body during his tenure.
On April 20, responding to calls fromcoalition and opposition leaders, Communication Minister Jamal Mohammed said Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar "wants to get a chance to go through the document...to read it carefully and then she will act."
On April 21, Warner resigned from his ministerial post.
