It's that time of the year again where graduations are in the air and students feel that sense of accomplishment. Necessary Arts School is no different in this way.
The school which was founded by Naima Thompson, Lydia Ledgerwood and Penelope Spencer focuses on the performance arts. It's a foundation course in basic acting that runs the gamut from voice, movement, body language, script analysis and interpretation.
As with all graduation exercises at Necessary Arts School, it will take the form of a theatrical production. The class for this 15th cycle is very excited about this production because it means for the first time they would be seen on stage by the general public.
Making It Happen is the title of the show for this 15th cycle and is written and directed by course facilitator Spencer. The production is all about the acting process. It will showcase all the new actors going through the oftentimes hard work with of course some humour injected in the pieces.
This is a One Night Only performance, and Making It Happen runs at Little Carib Theatre, corner of White and Robert Streets, Woodbrook, on July 9 at 8pm. Tickets are only $40. For further information call 627 8130.
