The People's Partnership Government must be very careful and cautious about the suddenly aimed criticisms which are meant to devalue significantly the projects in which they have expended considerable financial training and other resources.
Critics are becoming increasingly aware and alarmed by the successes of the many programmes and initiatives which were expected to result in colossal failures. Even though the government and relevant ministries have not been publicly boasting about their gains and achievements, the delivery of stated promises in their manifesto is evident. The beneficiaries of these interventions have been appreciative of the efforts by the government.
It was, therefore, no surprise to read the opinion column of daily newspapers and letters to the editor which seek to question the benefit and impact of important initiatives. The promise to supply free laptops to all Form One students who enter secondary school has been kept.
