Vet­er­an cy­clist Emile Abra­ham broke away from the pack to win the Men's Elite cat­e­go­ry of the Road Time Tri­als, as the Na­tion­al Road Cham­pi­onships con­tin­ued yes­ter­day at Waller­field.

Af­ter fin­ish­ing sec­ond on Sat­ur­day at the Cri­teri­um Cham­pi­onships, Abra­ham, rep­re­sent­ing Team Preda­tor Car­bon Re­pair, bounced back to win the 39-km race in 51:33. Jo­van Gomez fin­ished sec­ond in 52:55, while Joshua Alexan­der came third once more in 53:46. Alexan­der al­so took home the bronze at the Cri­teri­um Cham­pi­onships.

Giselle Craig­well was al­so in the win­ning col­umn, com­ing out on top of the 13-km Elite Ladies cat­e­go­ry. Craig­well was fol­lowed by Ker­liann Welling­ton (22:41) and Hal­ley Am­mon (24:45).

All at­ten­tion will now turn to the fi­nal event on Sun­day when the Na­tion­al Cham­pi­onships Road Race ped­als off at the Corinth/Cou­va cir­cuit.
