Digicel has confirmed that it adjusted its roaming rates for its Caribbean subscribers on October 1, as it announced it would in August.
In emailed responses the company described the decision as "an important one, and one that signifies a major investment for Digicel in our customer experience."
This means that every customer who use Digicel's service is supposed to "find it easier to communicate for personal or business reasons," the company said.
Commenting on the implementation process, Digicel said: "The implementation process was a seamless one with Digicel's customers reacting very positively to the move. Many of our customers travel for business and other reasons and this is yet another avenue where they benefit from best value. They can now enjoy their trips and not be mindful of high bills."
Regarding competition the company embraces it.
"We believe that the best way to maintain and grow our customer base is to remain true to our commitment to offer the best value and best service on our network."
