Lalonde Gor­don gave an­oth­er com­mand­ing per­for­mance on the week­end when he sped to the top of the world in the men's 200m rank­ings fol­low­ing his vic­totry in the event at the Ter­rior In­vi­ta­tion­al in Mass­a­chu­setts, USA, on the week­end. Gor­don stopped the clock at 20.58, a per­son­al best for the Zenith Ve­loc­i­ty run­ner. The time is the fastest in the world at the mo­ment. Last week Gor­don al­so held the fastest time in the 400m (46.43) fol­low­ing his tri­umphs at the New Bal­ance Games. The lanky sprint­er re­turned to an­chor his team to vic­to­ry in the men's 4X 400 in three min­utes 09.31. Gor­don al­so com­pet­ed in the men's 60 me­tres. He qual­i­fied for the fi­nals af­ter fin­ish­ing sixth in the heats in 6.94 but did not com­pete in the cham­pi­onship race. Geor­gia's Hileen James copped the women's shot put at the Mark Collingan Memo­r­i­al with a best throw of 15.40. Jar­rin Solomon was third in the men's 400 at the New Mex­i­co Col­le­giate In­vi­ta­tion­al clock­ing 46.93.
