W Con­nec­tion, win­ner of the Un­der-13 and Un­der-15 di­vi­sions last sea­son, opened its ac­count in the Oa­sis Youth Pro League 2012 cam­paign with wins in against San Juan Jabloteh in all three di­vi­sions at Gilbert Park, Cou­va, on Sun­day. The fluc­tu­at­ing age di­vi­sions, which are now the Un­der-14, Un­der-16 and Un­der-18 di­vi­sions were all in ac­tion on the day, with W Con­nec­tion stamp­ing its in­ten­tions by tak­ing wins, all of which were by two goals or more.

Con­nec­tion start­ed well with a 4-2 win in the Un­der-14 di­vi­sion. Ter­rell Williams struck a brace, with goals in ei­ther half, which Isa­iah Hud­son and Ka­reem Ri­ley scored the first two goals for W Con­nec­tion. An­tho­ny Samuel and Yevan Ra­j­paul scored Jabloteh's two goals. The team fol­lowed up by an even more re­spectable re­sult, 4-1 over the same op­po­nents but in the Un­der-16 di­vi­sion. Both Nicholas Dil­lon and Yae­fu Rougi­er bagged a brace a piece for Con­nec­tion, while Kadeem Corbin scored the con­so­la­tion for Jabloteh. In the Un­der-18 di­vi­sion, Em­manuel Fran­cis and Ron­dell Phillip scored a goal each in ei­ther half to se­cure a 2-0 re­sult and white­wash for W Con­nec­tion on its open­ing day.

St Ann's Rangers took 3-0 wins in all three di­vi­sions against T&TEC, al­beit by de­fault. Af­ter a 2-1 loss to De­fence Force in the Un­der-14 di­vi­sion, North East Stars' Un­der-16 and Un­der-18 teams re­turned to the Haig St Recre­ation Ground, Care­nage venue to record 5-1 and 2-0 wins, re­spec­tive­ly against the same op­po­nents. Cale­do­nia AIA and Po­lice were in ac­tion in the oth­er three match­es at the St Joseph Con­vent Ground, St Clair, with Po­lice's Un­der-14 boys on­ly able to pro­duce a 2-2 draw. In the Un­der-16 and Un­der-18 match­es, the Mor­vant/ Laven­tille club whipped the "law­boys" 5-0 and 3-2, re­spec­tive­ly.
