Po­lice of­fi­cers have re­cov­ered a shot­gun and two ki­los of com­pressed mar­i­jua­na. Ac­cord­ing to po­lice re­ports, the dis­cov­ery was made in an aban­doned house around 4.45 pm on Sat­ur­day at New Buc­coo Road, To­ba­go. Po­lice said the aban­doned house is fre­quent­ed by ques­tion­able char­ac­ters.

A po­lice source said of­fi­cers were on foot pa­trol in the area when they ob­served a group of men at the house act­ing sus­pi­cious­ly. The men ran away. Po­lice said ar­rests were im­mi­nent. In­spec­tor Stan­ley Caruth, Sgt Mor­ri­son, Cpl Her­nan­dez, Cpl Thomas and oth­er of­fi­cers vis­it­ed the scene. Cor­po­ral Her­nan­dez of the Old Grange Po­lice Sta­tion is lead­ing in­ves­ti­ga­tions.
