Ja­maica bowled their way to vic­to­ry over T&T in their third round clash in the 2012 WICB/THA/All Sports Pro­mo­tion Un­der-17 Crick­et Tour­na­ment at Shaw Park, To­ba­go, yes­ter­day. The vis­i­tors re­bound­ed af­ter be­ing bowled out for 128 in 45.3 overs af­ter the hosts sent them in to bat. Al Small did the dam­age with the ball for the lo­cal boys tak­ing 4 for 15. Small was on fire grab­bing the first four wick­ets as Ja­maica were reel­ing at 26 for 4. The slide con­tin­ued with Bryan Charles (2), Justin Joseph (2) and cap­tain Jo­van Ali tak­ing the last five wick­ets for 102 runs. Mark Parch­ment was the top­scor­er for the Ja­maicans with 23 runs, with Nicholas Wal­ters adding 22 and Kevon Williams end­ing 20 no out. In re­ply, Je­re­my Solozano was the first wick­et to go for 13 runs off the bowl­ing of Ja­maican skip­per Ra­maal Lewis.

T&T's hero in the win against Wind­ward Is­lands the pre­vi­ous day, Bri­an Christ­mas, could not re­pro­duce his form, falling for 12 caught by Michael Hurst off the bowl­ing of Fa­bi­en Allen with the score on 31. Camilio Carim­bo­cas was next to go back to the pavil­ion. Nicholan Pooran did not even set­tle as he was out with­out scor­ing caught by Man­ning, Wal­ters the bowler. Jeron Mani­ram (15), Small (13) and Charles (17) all got in­to dou­ble fig­ures but were sent pack­ing as T&T were strug­gling at 90/7. The woes con­tin­ued as Web­ster went for three with the score still on 90. Joseph (10) and Bootan (7) fell cheap­ly with Bootan the last man out with Ali left un­beat­en on 3. Speak­ing af­ter the de­feat T&T cap­tain Ali said he was dis­ap­point­ed with the loss and felt that af­ter bowl­ing out Ja­maica for 128 his boys took the game for grant­ed.
