Pres­i­dent of the Hope of a Mir­a­cle Foun­da­tion Di­an­ny Her­nan­dez is ap­peal­ing to mem­bers of the pub­lic to come for­ward and as­sist sick chil­dren with fi­nan­cial aid. Her­nan­dez made the ap­peal in a news re­lease yes­ter­day which al­so said that 14-year-old Can­dice Clarke has re­turned home af­ter her sec­ond surgery at the Jack­son Memo­r­i­al Med­ical Cen­tre, Holtz Chil­dren's Hos­pi­tal in Mi­a­mi.

Can­dice was di­ag­nosed with uterus didel­phys and an ab­dom­i­nal mass which re­quired two surg­eries-the sec­ond one be­ing an emer­gency surgery to guar­an­tee her life. Both were per­formed by urol­o­gist Dr Rafael Gon­sal­bez in Mi­a­mi. In the state­ment Her­nan­dez thanked those who have sup­port­ed the foun­da­tion's dri­ve to help sick chil­dren re­cov­er from their ail­ments.

The foun­da­tion al­so thanked Re­pub­lic Bank Ltd for the con­tri­bu­tion to Can­dice as part of the bank's Make a Dif­fer­ence Fund for Sick Chil­dren. The foun­da­tion is al­so ap­peal­ing to the gen­er­al pub­lic to con­tin­ue help­ing sick chil­dren.
