President of the Hope of a Miracle Foundation Dianny Hernandez is appealing to members of the public to come forward and assist sick children with financial aid. Hernandez made the appeal in a news release yesterday which also said that 14-year-old Candice Clarke has returned home after her second surgery at the Jackson Memorial Medical Centre, Holtz Children's Hospital in Miami.
Candice was diagnosed with uterus didelphys and an abdominal mass which required two surgeries-the second one being an emergency surgery to guarantee her life. Both were performed by urologist Dr Rafael Gonsalbez in Miami. In the statement Hernandez thanked those who have supported the foundation's drive to help sick children recover from their ailments.
The foundation also thanked Republic Bank Ltd for the contribution to Candice as part of the bank's Make a Difference Fund for Sick Children. The foundation is also appealing to the general public to continue helping sick children.
Contributions can be made to Republic Bank saving account # 110 215 385 331 or RBC Account # 931 103 392 3. For more information contact the foundation at 637-6852 or follow on Facebook: Hope of a Miracle Foundation.
