Jamaica's netballers have arrived in T&T confident of recapturing championships honours in the Americas Federation of Netball Associations (AFNA) Championships scheduled to start today. The Sunshine Girls, who last participated in the AFNA in 2008, shared that they were ready to regain the championship title of a tournament they once ruled. Since 1989, the Jamaicans have dominated the AFNA championship and are favourites along with hosts and defending champions T&T in the event at the Jean Pierre Complex. "Definitely I'm feeling it. I think Jamaica in the past have really placed themselves there knowing that they are the top team in the Caribbean," said Oberon Pitterson on the hunt for victory as Jamaica's coach after winning the tournament as a player. Teams will compete for an improved world netball ranking as well as qualification for the 2014 Commonwealth Games to be held in Glasgow, Scotland. (CMC)
