People usually write to the newspapers about their bad experiences, so I have decided to write about the fantastic experience I had when returning home from Florida on July 25. My wife, son (12 years old) and infant daughter had been travelling since 11 am from Orlando through Miami to Piarco. We arrived in Trini-dad at around 10 pm. Anyone who travels with an infant will know how challenging it can be-not being able to sleep, feed them properly and them being generally uncomfortable throughout the travelling experience. As we entered Immigration we encountered a very long line, unbearably so. My wife remarked that there should be special consideration for people travelling with infants and I suggested to her that she should go to the front of the line to see if we could be expedited.
She did so and the rest of the family was welcomed to the front of the line. Upon reaching Customs, again a lovely woman, whose name I did not get, pulled us out from the line and after checking our documents let us through wishing us a good night. After a long day of travelling under challenging circumstances with an infant, it was especially appreciated arriving back home to be accommo- dated in such a fashion. So hats off to the Customs and Immigration crews at Piarco for a job well done. I applaud your efforts to make my trip that much better upon my arrival home. Keep up the good work and service.
