I live in Cascade and for many years, without fail, the water mains along the Cascade Main Road, particularly in the vicinity of Breezy Hill and Knights' Court, spring leaks and precious water is left to flow away down the drain. In my experience, repair crews have tackled the repair of that particular problem area no less than ten times during the past two years, each time, perpetrating nothing short of mamaguy on the citizens. The workmanship leaves a lot to be desired and the leaks continue within days of the supposed repair job.
Now, I ask WASA: Do the contractors assigned to do these works of mains repair have the necessary competence and are they qualified to undertake (digging deeply) such work? Does anyone from WASA itself visit job sites to see and monitor the repair work?
I speak for a lot of people in different parts of the country when I say that when it comes to waterline repairs/maintenance and road refurbishing by the contractors on behalf of WASA, that more degradation and destruction and greater water loss result. It is time that the water authority does an audit on the number of leaking mains in districts throughout the country and do a proper thorough, complete and satisfactory job each time it makes repairs to its mains.
Cascade Road in the vicinity of Breezy Hill and Knights' Court is in a permanent state of deluge since the middle of August.
