The peo­ple of Ari­ma were de­nied host­ing the open­ing of the 2012 Na­tion­al Parang Fes­ti­val this year, but on De­cem­ber 8 they will be host to one of the ma­jor parang events of the sea­son. Randy Glas­gow Pro­duc­tions (RGP) will present the Kings of So­ca-Parang in con­cert at the Ari­ma Velo­drome.

The show will fea­ture the top so­ca-parang acts, among them Scrunter, Crazy, Ken­ny J, Pos­er, Nin­ja, My­ron B and Bind­ley B. Sev­er­al parang bands from across the coun­try, in­clud­ing San Juan, Rio Claro, Mar­aval and San­ta Cruz will al­so per­form. Pastelle, wild meat, stewed com­mon fowl or pork with pro­vi­sions, black cake, cowheel and ox­tail soups are just some of the culi­nary de­lights that will be on sale.
