Francesca Rousseau, prin­ci­pal of New­town Girls RC School is the new pres­i­dent of the T&T Net­ball As­so­ci­a­tion (TTNA). The vet­er­an ed­u­ca­tor was elect­ed to the post un­op­posed at the sport an­nu­al gen­er­al meet­ing (AGM) at the VIP Lounge, Hase­ly Craw­ford Sta­di­um in Mu­cu­rapo last Sat­ur­day. Rousseau re­placed in­cum­bent Pa­tri­cia Butch­er, who did not stand for re-elec­tion. As­sis­tant sec­re­tary Bev­er­ly Cruick­shank is the on­ly per­son who re­tained her po­si­tion from the pre­vi­ous ex­ec­u­tive.

The meet­ing which was at­tend­ed by rep­re­sen­ta­tives from the Port of Spain, San Fer­nan­do, Ma­yaro, To­ba­go, Re­pub­lic Bank and All Sec­tors Net­ball Leagues. All oth­er of­fi­cers were elect­ed un­op­posed to re­place trea­sur­er Alden Lewis, Pub­lic Re­la­tion Of­fi­cer (PRO) Lynette Dun­can, first vice pres­i­dent Martha Archer, sec­ond vice pres­i­dent Austrid Rochford and gen­er­al sec­re­tary Car­ol Dem­ming-Git­tens. The new ex­ec­u­tive in­cludes An­gela Joseph-Wal­cott, who will served as the sec­ond vice pres­i­dent, Bev­er­ly Rodgers as trea­sur­er and Kei­th Clement as the PRO. Rochford will now fill the gen­er­al sec­re­tary po­si­tion while Lewis and Mar­lene Gilbert are the trustees.
