CEPEP workers from Arouca who joined farmers' protest yesterday said their jobs were in danger.
Juliana Harris, who led a contingent of green-clad CEPEP workers, said 60 workers were being given quit notices. She added: " We only get $85 a day and we work to clean up all the drains and other places.
"A lot of us are single mothers. Kamla is not keeping her promises. A lot of us have children but we don't need laptops, we need our jobs.
"It is very hard for us and we will appreciate if Ms Kamla can do something for us." The gang was part of the farmers' protest which began at Woodford Square and marched through downtown Port-of-Spain to the HDC Building, South Quay. Also participating were BIGWU's executive members Christopher Jackson Smith and Aldwyn McLaren. (GA)
