The Greater Tunapuna Chamber of Industry and Commerce has extended condolences to the family of former government minister Kenneth Valley.Valley, who served as minister of trade and industry under the previous administration between 2001 to 2007, died at his home in Glenco last Friday after battling with colon cancer. He was 63 at the time of his death.In a news release yesterday, the chamber said Valley helped create a better life through business and trade for all of T&T and the wider Caribbean.
The statement said he was tireless in promoting T&T in Caricom and in the Latin American region.The chamber said he was also fundamental in developing polices regarding the dismantling of protectionism which was a priority in ensuring the stability of the local economy.The chamber said Valley would be greatly missed by not only the business sector but the national community.
