Kieron Pollard and Dwayne Bravo, fresh from their stint playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL) have been drafted into the Trinidad and Tobago cricket team for a one-off T20 match against the West Indies High Performance Centre on June 3 at the Queen's Park Oval in Port-of-Spain.
The match is the second of a T20 double-header starting at 2 pm after the clash between West Indies and India which gets underway at 10 am. Also making a return to competitive cricket is opening batsman Adrian Barath who has been sidelined by injury since last year and is keen to win back his place on the West Indies team. Barath's new opening partner will be William Perkins or teenager Kjorn Ottley.
Both players impressed during the recent T&T Cricket Board Premiership T20 Festival at Guaracara Park in Pointe-a-Pierre and will be jointly bidding for a spot at the top of the batting order. The team will be captained by Daren Ganga and also includes wicketkeeper Denesh Ramdin and allrounder Rayad Emrit.
