This week we are bringing you a special edition of entertainment news. First we have 'Say What? Entertainment news' followed by the totally opposite in every way step sister 'Well...thank you Einstein! Entertainment news'.
Okay first up we have two stories that will make you scratch your head and say – "Say wha!?" (Trini) Or its Proper English equivalent of 'Say What?' Here we go:
Avril Lavigne has a pizza named after her
The Canadian singer says people from her hometown of Napanee are very proud of her achievements and one of the local restaurants has paid homage by creating a dish in her honour. She said "I'm a small-town girl and go home when I can, and the people there always look out for me. I think they're proud that someone from there made it so big. There's a pizza restaurant in the centre that I used to go to when I was at high school, and they've turned it into kind of an Avril-themed place. There's even a pizza named after me made from my favourite toppings: pepperoni, olives and mushrooms." Avril says food is quite important in her life and so too are pizzas. She also enjoys cooking a traditional British Sunday roast dinner. She said: "I may be Canadian, but I cook the best Sunday roast."
My mom cooked every night when I was growing up and one thing I picked up from her was roasted beef and Yorkshire pudding. Growing up, a lot of the mums I knew used to cook a British dinner. I love making little Yorkshires and getting them to rise perfectly. I like being domesticated. It's my way of unwinding. After months of touring and promotion I just want to stay in and be normal. Going out shopping for groceries and cooking food is my way of chilling out. I like to have my friends around and entertain for them, cook up some Italian food and open a bottle."
Enrique Iglesias unpopular with girls as a teenager
The heartthrob pop star who has been in a relationship with former tennis player Anna Kournikova for almost 10 years didn't have much luck with the opposite sex when he was growing up, but as soon as he got famous lots of ladies were interested in dating him. He said: "I was the king of heartbroken as a teenager. I was never the heartbreaker. Years later, lots of the girls that rejected me came back just because I was famous. It is actually kind of sad." Enrique admits it isn't difficult to attract women when you become a celebrity, and thinks lots of girls are interested in having 'fun' with a famous guy. He added: "if you become a famous singer or actor, or just famous, period, that helps a lot. Girls don't necessarily want to marry a famous person but I think they like the thought of having fun with them."
Now we know that there are two sides to everything, opposites, like Ying and Yang, Night and Day, Taylor Swift and 50 Cent or Deep fried crispy Chicken and a no fat, 10 calorie vegetarian green salad.
We provide the other side of 'say what', with the story carrying a headline that made us say 'Thank you Einstein' for reporting that! Another thing that we may have also said is – "No way! I could have written that story and collected a salary in U.S dollars." Okay so now that you're all annoyed and ready check out this week's 'Thank you Einstein' story, here we are:
Justin Timberlake says he doesn't need love advice
Justin Timberlake says he doesn't need love advice and don't like people offering him tips ('who does right?'- gie mag). The 30-year-old singer-and-actor has been in relationships with some of the world's most sought-after ladies including Cameron Diaz, Britney Spears and Jessica Biel. Justin, who split from actress Jessica back in March after four years together, is currently thought to be single despite being linked to Hollywood beauties such as Mila Kunis and Scarlett Johansson recently. The heartthrob won't be going to friends for any tips on his love life though, as he prefers making his own decisions when it comes to romance. "My pals are pretty good for advice but at the end of the day it is your experience," he is quoted as saying. Justin thinks talking through romantic dilemmas with those around you can be helpful. However, he argues a real man should always think for himself. The hunk shared his mantra when it comes to dating – "I say, 'Man up and make your own decisions.'" Justin and Jessica's split was totally amicable, and there have even been claims of the pair rekindling their love. Earlier this month a source told US Weekly they are "quietly seeing each other again", although another insider argued a long-lasting reunion wasn't guaranteed.
