At­tor­ney Gen­er­al Anand Ram­lo­gan says ac­tion will be tak­en against peo­ple en­gaged in the il­le­gal bunker­ing and sale of diesel fu­el. He told yes­ter­day's post-Cab­i­net news con­fer­ence at the Diplo­mat­ic Cen­tre, St Ann's, he was in pos­ses­sion of an au­dit re­port sub­mit­ted by the En­er­gy Min­is­ter which he would be look­ing at this week­end. He said the doc­u­ment "pro­vides sub­stan­tial ev­i­dence to sug­gest that there may be wide­spread il­le­gal sale and si­phon­ing off diesel fu­el and it is a thriv­ing un­der­world in­dus­try." Ram­lo­gan said on com­ple­tion of his study of the re­port this week­end "ac­tion will be tak­en against those who are in­volved in the il­le­gal trade of fu­el, sell­ing it at an un­der price for pri­vate gain and com­mer­cial prof­it."
