Winners of the 2011 National Church Choir Music Festival, hosted by Inspirational Radio 730AM and Clark & Battoo Limited, recently collected marble plaques at a presentation ceremony at the Guardian Building, Port-of-Spain. Representatives of the top three choirs-The 4 All Chorale, the Loud Cry Heralds Chorale and Curepe Pentecostal Empowerment Ministries International-were on hand to receive the plaques from Shaun Jodhan. managing director of Clark & Battoo Limited, main sponsors of the competition.
They earned the top spots at the competition on October 2 at NAPA, Port-of-Spain, where 11 of the best church choirs in the country were at their musical best. Masters of Ceremony for the competition were Eddison Carr and Sharon Sookdeo, while Russell Leonce, winner of three Caribbean Marlin Awards in 2010, was a guest artiste. In addition to Clarke & Battoo Limited, other sponsors were Gensing Up, D Gap Man, Simon's Musical Supplies, Chee Mooke Bakery, Ariel (dealcoholised wine), courtesy Trinidad Import and Export, and Dianne Samuel, an Avon representative.
