It was shocking to see the comments of Robert Mayers that the COP should pull out from the People's Partnership Government. This statement is most reckless, especially at this time and does not benefit a country that has placed its faith in these politicians in the PP to get things right and move the country forward. It is my sincere hope that his views, while reeking of sour grapes, is just that-his view and not a reflection of the general opinion of the party.
The fact that he is also the deputy political leader of the COP lends an air of supposed credibility to his statement. However, those on the ground are not misguided, they know the truth that the Partnership is strong. Like all marriages, though, there will be bumps in the road and rocky patches but at the end of the day things will work out. Divorce isn't in the best interest of the nation and not even the rantings of one spoiled child will change that.
