ARCOS is a fibre optic submarine communications cable of 8,400 kilometres that extends between the United States, the Bahamas, the Turks and Caicos Islands, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Curacao, Venezuela, Colombia, Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, Guatemala, Belize and Mexico.
2009 acquisitions
Acquired Caribbean Data Centres ("CDC"), a Barbados-based company that wholly owns E-Commerce Park, which provides data centre services in Curacao, Netherlands Antilles. Columbus Networks closes the acquisition of SkyOnline Latinoamerica Colombia, S.A. ESP ("Sky-Colombia), a provider of telecommunications services in Colombia. Columbus Networks closes the acquisitions of SkyOnline Maya-1 LLC, Inc ("Maya"), providing Columbus with an ownership position in the Maya-1 Cable Consortium, a submarine finder optic cable system that connects the United States, Mexico, Cayman Islands, Costa Rica, Panama and Colombia. Columbus Networks completes multi-million US-dollar network integration with SkyOnline de Panama and changes the name of the Panama company to Columbus Networks. Columbus Networks closes the acquisition of Optynex Telecom SA, a facilities-based commercial telecom data services provider in Panama.
