T&T wants to do more business with Japan. This is according to Foreign Affairs Minister Dr Surujrattan Rambachan. Rambachan met with Japan's Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, Ikuo Yamahana, at his office in Port-of-Spain on Wednesday.
Rambachan also told the Japanese minister that the two countries should establish teams to plan for a public/private sector joint economic mission to this country, which could take place next year. Yamahana said the two countries should foster closer bilateral and multilateral relations.
He said the two countries should co-operate on global issues such as climate change United Nations reform and human rights. Rambachan said measures were being put in place to ensure Japanese were able to obtain visas in a shorter time.
